McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. (MEI) is a leading waste management company, located in Apollo, PA. Since 1947, MEI has provided transportation, treatment, disposal and on site environmental services for a wide variety of clients. MEI is seeking an energetic, talented individual for the key position of OPERATIONS SERVICES MANAGER. The key responsibilities and duties include: - Manages the Planning, Scheduling, Dispatch, Logistics, Project Management, Warehousing. Equipment and Materials Inventory and Purchasing and Vehicle/Equipment Fleet Maintenance part of the MEI business - project management entails the management and execution of the field services, transportation and off site waste disposal and emrgency response work - warehousing entails inventory control and management and purchasing of the consummable materials and supplies used to perform the field services, transportation and emergency response work - planning, scheduling and dispatch entails the planning of the work performed by MEI personnel (nature, duration of work, number and types of employees and equipment), the scheduling of the employees, equipment and materials to the various jobs and the actual dispatching and deployment of the employees, vehicles, equipment and materials to the jobs - Fleet maintenance entials the maintenance and repair of the vehicles and equipment used on the jobs - manages and coaches project management, warehouse and scheduling/dispatch personnel
- works closely with sales support, field service manager and project managers in the planning and managment of the various waste management projects - serves on emergency response teams as necessary
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in a related disipline such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry or Business Logistics is helpful - Five (5) or more years of waste management industry experience preferred - Previous waste management industry experience with field service projects, emergency response, tranpsortation and waste dispoal options is required - Strong mechanical aptitude and knowlege of equipment and vehicles - Knowledge of DOT and environmental regulations pertaining to transportion of non hazardous and hazardous wastes is required - Class B CDL preferred - Good people management skills; able to assess, coach and evalate people - Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness - Superior planning and organizing and resource marshalling and allocation skills - enjoys and is able to work well in fast paced, rapidly changing, interruption driven work environment - able to develop systems and organized approaches for the many areas of the operations services
